Welcome!

My name is AJ Ash, and I am a family portrait photographer based in Des Moines, Iowa. 

My journey with photography began during my time in the Navy. I picked up my first camera to document my travels and experiences, and soon discovered an untapped passion of mine. As I honed my skills and developed my style, I found that I was drawn to the natural beauty of landscapes, the emotion of portraits, and the unique perspective of aerial photography.

Now, as a civilian photographer, I continue to pursue my passion for capturing the world around me. I am constantly inspired by the people, places, and moments that I encounter in my everyday life, and I strive to create images that are both beautiful and meaningful.

Whether I am working with clients to capture their special moments, or exploring the midwest to find the perfect shot, I am always excited to see what the world has in store for me through my camera lens.
